Thank you to everyone who took part in this first consultation for our new joint local plan.
Our scoping consultation ran from Tuesday 8 September until Tuesday 29 September at 11.59pm.
We asked the local community and stakeholders to share their views on what the plan should include and how we should approach future engagement.
To assist with the answering of the consultation questions, we produced a scoping consultation document as an interactive webpage and as a PDF which provided further detail and background information.
We also published a Scoping Consultation Notice on 8 September 2026, which provided formal information on the consultation, including how people could take part.
Comments received during this consultation
The Councils are now reviewing and considering the comments we have received.
We will publish a ‘summary of scoping consultation’ document in due course, which will provide a summary of the main issues raised by respondents and how we will address them.
The comments received will help to inform our Community Engagement Strategy.
